The Daily Bump: The Future of Sound

Thanks to a reader's tip the other day in response to our DEMF line up post, we were introduced to the documentary Totally Wired. Made in 2007, this film goes behind the scenes of Schneiders Büro, a store in Germany dedicated to the advancement in sound design specifically for the niche musical world driven by analog and electronic equipment. Frequent customers of the shop include techno legends such as Ricardo Villalobos and John Tejada among several others considered pioneers of future sound. This is where that "future" becomes a reality. The director of Totally Wired, Niamh Guckian Ahern, investigates this one-of-a-kind sound laboratory, interviewing its founder, Andreas Schneider as well as many of the shop's regular customers. The complete documentary can be viewed on Realeyz TV.

Below is an excerpt from the interview with the shop's founder, Andreas Schneider.
