I have invited Eamon Harkin to kick off the week with a jacking house mix that's deep and upbeat...just what we need to start Mondays off right. If you don't know who Harkin is, you should. This NYC transplant (hails from Ireland) is indispensable to NY's DJ/dance music scene. He is one half of the New Release team (Justin Carter is the other), who are the great minds behind the widely successful Sunday Best series and Mister Saturday night parties (returning in the fall). Thanks to their fine taste and dedication to "real deal" type of music, New Yorkers have been spoiled with an incredible line up this summer (Omar S, Theo Parrish, Kyle Hall, Luke Solomon, Maurice Fulton) and have a lot to look forward to in the months to come (Dixon?! Moodymann?!). I recommend signing on to their New Release listing to get in the loop. In the meantime...enjoy the music!
