This track comes off the “A Basement, A Red Light and a Feeling EP”, which is one of the coolest titles for an EP ever. Originally out on Madhouse Records in 1992, this is a classic Kerri Chandler production, with a tough New Jersey kick drum, a bouncing bass line and smooth piano chords. But the real kicker of the track is the mostly unintelligible male vocal, which, as it turns out, was sung by Kerri’s drunken Grandfather (hence the artist name), which was something I didn’t know until Marcos Cabral imparted that information to us at a recent party (thanks, Marcos!). Anyway, here it is in all it’s glory:
